We are dedicated to maintaining a healthy, motivated workforce
Bill Fraser from North Tees and Hartlepool asks:
Our Trust is moving to all electronic requests for investigations (blood work and radiology). However this requires individuals to be registered on the clinical system (Trak Care). Many of the people we see pre-employment are from outwith the Trust catchment area and so not on the system. It has been suggested that we should register them on this system in the Occupational Health Department. I have some qualms about this since if we can register on the system we also will have access to their general medical records and I am keen to preserve the concept of OH records being separate from notes of treating clinicians . Otherwise we risk being accused of being able to access medical notes without consent. Has anyone else been involved in similar? How do you deal with the issue? Am I overthinking this?
