Rona Estwick from University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust asks:

“I would like to understand how you approach OH checks/clearance for particular groups of volunteers (namely musicians, carol singers, UK Garrison, one off parties on children’s wards) who attend on an ad-hoc/one-off basis?

Group attendance is not in place at present due to the pandemic but there has been some resistance as regards classing these individuals as patient facing (albeit not always directly facing but perform in areas with patients present) and applying the same OH approach as the more standard volunteers /patient facing roles.”
