We are dedicated to maintaining a healthy, motivated workforce
Dear Colleagues
This year there has been a big focus on the wellbeing of healthcare workers particularly doctors. Therefore, it is really good to be ending the year with the publication of a report in November 'Caring for Doctors, Caring for Patients' . The report is a result of an independent review commissioned by the GMC and the Network was approached for its’ input during the review. The report focuses on the ABC of doctors core needs and six urgent steps. It is really encouraging to read about the importance and urgency placed on NHS leaders to take forward positive actions and steps and reinforcing some of the messages we have been pushing as OH professionals for many years. This is a really positive start as we look ahead to 2020!
Our sincere thanks to you, the membership, for all your continued commitment and energy. We hope you will be able to recoup and recharge over the festive season and that 2020 will be a great year for you, your Services and the Network.
Wishing you all a peaceful and restful festive season.
Best wishes

It’s nearly time for Round 16 and news of the brand new audio audit.
It’s that time again, when MoHaWK is due to open for its next round of data submission / audits. The data collection for the majority of topics is the month of December – so if you collect your data electronically there is nothing to do until the New Year. If you collect your data manually then you may want to decide which subject areas you want to focus on for this round. The briefing paper is available here
Exciting news – Round 16 sees a new audiometry audit being placed into the system.
This is sectioned into four parts detailed below:
You can choose to do one or all sections (you do not have to do them all). The test audit section can be undertaken as a supervised practice audit.
I have attached an audit collection tool document to aid collating the data for submission to MoHaWK. As it is a new section I have attached the briefing paper for this separately to the main briefing paper. If you undertake the audit, I would appreciate some feedback on how you found it in case some minor tweaks are needed for future rounds.
Any queries – please do get in touch hilary.winch@nnuh.nhs.uk

The Board meets 3 times a year (one via teleconference, once in central London, and once at the time of our annual conference in September).
More information and the application form are available here.
We would also like to take the opportunity to thank Emma for her long standing support to the Network and wish her well for the future.
